About Shannon

Shannon Crowley is head of marketing for Northern Trust Asset Management. She is a member of the Asset Management Executive Group with oversight of global marketing strategy — driving awareness of the firm’s brand and investment expertise to initiate and strengthen client engagement. Her team is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing, communications, and business strategies across global client channels, investment platforms, and media.

With over 25 years of asset management marketing experience, Shannon’s expertise spans retail and institutional channel strategy, data driven integrated campaign strategy, product marketing, and corporate brand and content marketing. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Shannon most recently served as head of marketing at GCM Grosvenor. Before that, she held marketing leadership roles across several firms including Nuveen, Wells Fargo Asset Management, Calamos Investments, Evergreen Investments, and Van Kampen Investments.

Shannon earned her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University. She is a FINRA Series 7, and 63 license holder. Her marketing excellence has earned several industry awards, including two Gramercy Marketing Strategy and Digital Marketing Awards and a Savvy Investor Best Investment Industry Paper Award.
