About Gerard

Gerard van Leusden is head of international institutional client group at Northern Trust Asset Management. He is a member of the Asset Management Executive Group with oversight of all international sales and service teams to ensure exceptional client service.

With over two decades of experience in the investment management industry, Gerard leverages his expertise to deliver excellent client results, maintain successful client relationships, and encourage team collaboration within the organization. Previously, Gerard was Head of Sales for the EMEA region at Northern Trust Asset Management. Before joining Northern Trust, he worked for nearly five years at BlackRock (Barclays Global Investors) in the financial institutions group. He focused on institutional strategies and the development of iShares in the Benelux region from both sales and marketing perspectives. Gerard also worked for five years at Euronext Amsterdam, where he was responsible for the institutional investors team. Before that he worked for two years at Delta Holding in Amsterdam as a portfolio manager. He was also an international equities trader at Rabobank.

Gerard earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Hogeschool van Utrecht in 1998.
